The CTE Strand at the Model Schools Conference will provide the research base, successful models and proven strategies to enable these objectives to be achieved.

The CTE Strand is a unique opportunity for CTE educators and school/district decision makers to coordinate their efforts to:

• Raise student achievement on high-stakes tests by developing programs that integrate academic education and CTE
• Use data to focus curriculum planning and professional development on academic standards and on the essential skills needed for the world beyond school
• Learn strategies to facilitate the integration of academics and 21st century skills in CTE programs

• Overcome the organizational and cultural barriers between traditional academics and CTE.
