The Model Schools Conference can supply significant momentum to the process of helping all students achieve a rigorous and relevant education. The Post-Conference will lay the groundwork for administrators and teachers in implementing the successful practices presented at the Conference The keynote addresses will focus on ways for participants to improve student performance and their own as well. The Forum on Issues will provide solutions to the challenges submitted by the audience.

In this hands-on/minds-on/hearts-in session, participants will observe how their brains learn as Kenneth Wesson shares the latest brain research. These findings lead to strategies to enhance classroom learning through cognitive development that improves: o efficiency of information encoding o endurance of memory o effective usage of stored information. Deploying teaching methodologies that cater to the brain’s natural processing tendencies will enhance the prospects of academic success for learners of any age.

This brief session will set the stage for Friday’s forum on the issues. The Closing Keynote handout from the Conference, which participants turned in (or will fill out here) on the greatest challenge they face, will be collected and categorized. Potential strategies and solutions will be discussed in detail in the first session on Friday.
